Lantern slides are something that we consider to be more of a unique collectible. They become a realm of their own, particularly after you acquire a projector to view them. We think they're stunning!

Here's a lantern slide for Nurse Marjorie with Mary Miles Minter as directed by William Desmond Taylor. These were normally hand tinted and displayed on movie screens at various times when nothing else was on the screen. We've had a little bit of fun with this image, one of the advantages of owning the site.
